Charity is prolonging destitution
Offering charity sounds good and feels good. The receiver has food for another day and a dry place to sleep. The giver feels they did a good deed. The truth is that charity only prolongs the diesease of poverty. It is better to inspire the poor to rise up and out of poverty for good, not to throw them little bits to keep them in their current existence.
